Fracture mechanics meets community in Vicenza
From 15 to 17 February 2027, the Italian Fracture Group welcomes researchers, engineers and industry experts to Vicenza for the 29th International Conference on Fracture and Structural Integrity (IGF29).
IGF29 brings together established specialists, early-career researchers and PhD students to exchange ideas on fracture, fatigue and structural health in a friendly, collaborative atmosphere. Beyond the technical sessions, the conference is an opportunity to meet the international community, discover new approaches and build connections across academia and industry.
Scientific focus
The programme covers analytical and numerical fatigue assessment, experimental fracture testing, additive manufacturing and defect tolerance, hydrogen embrittlement, multi-scale modelling, welded and bonded joints, composites, infrastructure integrity, AI-driven structural health, industrial failure analysis and emerging interdisciplinary topics.
